The Nokia N97, announced in December 2008 at Nokia World in Barcelona, Spain, is Nokia's flagship Nseries smartphone, and is also the company's most prominent touchscreen device, with a roomy 3.5in touchscreen display. We put the QWERTY-equipped sliding smartphone through its paces in our review, to see how well it fares.

Nokia has updated its N97 smartphone firmware to version 2.0, bringing the handset to version 20.0.019. The major upgrade features improved scrolling, which lets users flick through interfaces, Ovi Maps 3.1, Nokia email, Ovi Contacts and Ovi Store. Memory and battery performance have been improved, along with image and video stability.

Users can install the firmware using Software Update from their device or they can download it using Nokia Software Updater on PCs.
